We had to implement Rule Number One before we ever left Oklahoma City.
Rule Number One: Flexibility.
At 3:00 AM, Delta Airlines began calling to say that our flight from OKC to Atlanta was delayed 6 hours. This would mean that we would miss our connection to Seoul and delay our trip by at least one day, maybe longer. After spending an hour on the phone with the nice lady from Delta, those of us originally going through Atlanta are now flying American Airlines to Dallas Ft. Worth, and then Dallas Ft. Worth to Seoul.
Jim, Danny, and Roland are flying United through Chicago as previously scheduled, and they had no problems at all. At this moment, they're in the air, probably half-way to Chicago.
The rest of us are now waiting to board our flight to DFW. All 11 of us will meet in Seoul later today (much later today) for the journey on to Thailand.
Rule Number One: Flexibility.
